If you go back to park or turn off the vehicle and then select Drive it will start in 1st as expected. It acts almost as if the transmission is not getting the signal to shift. Also, the air suspension is staying at the lowest setting. I have a very basic OBDll reader and was able to pull U0001 & U0101.
The vehicles included in the recall are the 2015 Land Rover Discovery Sport manufactured from September 17, 2014 through November 3, 2014, and the 2014 through 2015 Range Rover Evoque models

Currently I own a 2006 range rover sport and I had the suspension, HDC, transmission, brake, abs, and traction control light on, also my passenger window and side mirror, driver seat were not working.
That was the first thing I did, althought I did not put in any additive. The MAF was cleaned off and gauged at .08g/sec. When removing the sensor there was a difference in how the truck ran, hence the assumption that it was functioning. I really don't want to have to drop the entire transmission to have it diagnosed.
Worst case is the solenoid has failed, but given the experience with the D3/D4 would point to a bad connection somewhere. Could be a leaking mechatronic sleeve allowing fluid into the connector, a fluid change and check of the connector would be where I'd start. Then new solenoids and valve body rebuild.
