I can only assume that’s because it costs money to license. I decided to ask them about it on the forums… “So Ubisoft, Did you actually just deign to stop paying for EAC instead of giving your players a nominal gaming experience? That seems pretty greedy and shortsighted.” If your game file has been saved on one drive then it will not let you open the game while you are offline if one drive is not running in your system. SIMPLE SOLUTION: 1) Either uninstall one drive and game, then re-install just the game. 2) Keep one drive running in the background and that should work.
