It's cause if it's in windowed/borderless a PC still has to dedicate some power to the background stuff which allows it to quickly swap, the main part being explorer.exe

I never played online. RDR2 is worth it for single player alone for years to come. I have been struggling with online for a few days after beating the campaign twice. It crashes constantly, so many game breaking glitches, and hackers in literally every lobby. Online is so depressing.
